Many of you who are making enquiries about Nadi Astrology have probably been acquainted with Natal Astrology in one form or another. Now, if you were to have a meeting with the Nadi Astrologer in person, he would ask the same, or similar, questions of you. however, there would be a difference in the manner in which they would be asked. For instance, the astrologer would go through the leaves one by one and you would be required to merely answer his questions with a 'yes' or 'no' and he would not ask for the information that you have provided through the questionnaire as such. For instance, he may ask, "is your mother's name Christine"? if you answer 'yes' he would continue to read from that leaf and ask other questions such as, "is your father's name William, " or "do you have two children," "do you own a home," " do you have any legal matters pending," and so on. But he would not ask you to divulge information, simply a 'yes' or 'no' to his questions. He would continue to ask questions, to turning leaves one by one in this manner until all the information matches correctly on one particular leaf, from your 'yes' answers and your personal leaf is found. This process of identification often takes many hours.

So, it should be understood that the questions are not meant to pry into your privacy or to give the astrologer undue and unnecessary information about you. The questions merely provide the information to find your leaf and not somebody else's that may have been born around the same time. Consequently, answers to all the questions are imperative so that we are able to trace your leaf and not someone else that is similar to yours and insufficient particulars may result in choosing the wrong forecasting will occur.

Now there are some who may also say, "well, the questions relating to business are irrelevant for me because I have no intention of being in business, or I will never marry or have children." The astrologer will firstly concentrate on the center part of the thumbprint and the sub-divisions found therein, but the entire thumbprint is studied in minute detail. Some impressions are identified easily and the corresponding leaves are found quite quickly, but even this identification process takes time and for some it may take many hours.

Therefore, notwithstanding the desire or need for a reading, we cannot guarantee that each and every individual can receive predictions through this holy script. If an applicant's palm leaf is not available for whatever reason, they are advised immediately and their questionnaire and money returned at the earliest possible convenience.

There have been cases where it is written on the individual's leaf that a reading cannot be given until a specific date and the reason for such a precedent is purely karmic.
